Premier League: Will Rooney make a move to Chelsea FC or Arsenal? Fabregas to Manchester United?

As the 2013/14 Premier League season draws closer many clubs have made signings to improve their squads. Some clubs are yet to do any significant business however suggesting there are many more deals to come.

The future of Wayne Rooney is very much a hot topic at the moment with the England striker wanting out of Old Trafford however Chelsea FC have had their bid rejected by the champions. It remains to be seen if any other teams are interested in Rooney however it is looking increasingly likely he will not be a Manchester United player come the start of the season.

Manchester United have been looking to add Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas to their squad however an initial bid has been rejected. Should Barcelona want to sell, David Moyes’ side should expect competition from Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea for the highly rated playmaker.

Title contenders Manchester City have made the biggest signings so far splashing out around £30m on Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho and £15m on Spanish international winger Jesus Navas as they look to build a title winning team. They will face competition from Chelsea for the Premier League title with the London club also strengthening their squad with the additions of German attacker Andre Schurrle and talented Dutchman Marco Van Ginkel.

Everton have signed Arouna Kone, Antolin Alcaraz and Joel Robles from Wigan Athletic who all worked under Roberto Martinez last season as the Spaniard tries to build a side capable of breaking into the top four. Brendan Rodgers will be hoping Liverpool can do the same and has moved for Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, experienced defender Kolo Toure and Spanish duo Luis Alberto and Iago Aspas.

Meanwhile Tottenham have paid in the region of £17m for Brazil midfielder Paulinho, Norwich have signed exciting striker Ricky Van Wolfswinkel and Southampton have managed to convince Victor Wanyama to join from Celtic, all three look like being impressive signings.
