Manchester United – Matches and Tickets 2013/14

Manchester United are one of the most famous Football Clubs in the World, due to their on the field success and the history within the Club. Another reason the Red Devils are popular around the globe is the sheer number of truly great players that have worn the red shirt, with Sir Bobby Charlton, Denis Law, George Best, Eric Cantona, David Beckham, and more recently Robin Van Persie. Manchester United tickets for the 2013/14 season are available now.

Current

Manchester United had a good season last year as they won the Premier League Title by a huge eleven points, thus reclaiming it from their neighbours Manchester City in the process. Dutchman Robin Van Persie had a fantastic debut season, with his twenty six goals ensuring he won the golden boot for the second successive season.

The Club’s legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson has now retired, with fellow Scot and former Everton boss David Moyes replacing him. It is a herculean task for Moyes as he is undoubtedly following one of the greatest managers of all time, so the expectation will be for the unprecedented success to continue with him at the helm. David Moyes has made some good moves already, as he has added former Manchester United player Phil Neville and current playing veteran Ryan Giggs to his coaching staff, thus strengthening his managerial team.

There has been only one transfer made by Manchester United so far this summer, with young Uruguayan right-back Guillermo Varela brought in. However rumours persist about Barcelona starlet Thiago Alcantara potentially arriving at Old Trafford, and the Club have had a twelve million pound bid for England full back Leighton Baines rejected by Everton, so whether the red devils try once more remains to be seen.

Along with Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie, David Moyes has a wealth of talent to pick from, with Captain Nemanja Vidic, Ashley Young, Nani, Tom Cleverly, Danny Welbeck, and Shinji Kagawa available to the new boss, so they will be aiming to retain their title this year.

Manchester United – 2012/13

Manchester United F.C, also known as United or The Red Devils are currently situated in Manchester. They play their football at Old Trafford, which is the biggest Premier League football ground in the UK. Their biggest rivals are noisy neighbours Manchester City and Liverpool. They are still one of the most successful football teams, with continuous success on the pitch for the best part of their history. They will be looking to secure a 13th Premier League title in the 2012/2013 season.

Manchester United are currently top of the Premier League and are looking strong heading into the second half of the season. Top scorer in the league, Robin Van Persie seems to be firing on all cylinders as Chelsea and Manchester City are trying to catch them. United bolstered their squad in summer 2012 by adding Van Persie and Shinji Kagawa to the squad. Also, Nemanja Vidic is being welcomed back after a long period away through injury. The expectation is always high; however United will be confident of winning the title with being outright leaders at the moment.

In 1986, current manager Sir Alex Ferguson took over as manager and has won 24 major trophies in his time at Old Trafford.
