FA Cup action this weekend: Everton vs Wigan, City vs Barnsley and United vs Chelsea!

Everton vs Wigan

Everton will play Wigan on Saturday, March 9th at 12:45 in the sixth round of the FA Cup.

Everton beat Oldham in the previous round with 3:2. Centre-back Jagielka will miss the game due to an angle injury and replaced by Heitinga. David Moyes team just beat Reading in a great victory at home with 3:1. The Latics just lost 4:0 against Liverpool at home. Manager Martinez can take advantage of a full squad. Adrian Lopez and Ryo Miyaichi are back after hamstring and ankle injuries.

ManCity vs Barnsley

Manchester City will host Barnsley on Saturday, March 9th at 17:30pm at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City is trying to reach the FA Cup semi-final only for the second time in 32 years. Previously, they beat Leeds United with 4:0 in the fifth round. Manchini , however, will rest Kompany and Aguero against Barnsley on Saturday. Kompany missed the last 6 games due to calf problems and Aguero missed the Aston Villa game last Monday because of knee problems. Barnsley beat MK Dons in the fifth round with 1:3. However, Barnsley midfielder Stephen Dawson is questionable due to ankle problems. Barnsley manager David Flitcroft is confident that his Championship side stands a chance against City.

United vs Chelsea

Manchester United will host Chelsea FC in the FA Cup on Sunday, March 10th at Old Trafford.

It is the top game of the FA Cup quarter-final. United just lost to Real Madrid and will be hungry. Young are likely to replace Giggs. Ferguson also has to replace Phil Jones (ankle) and midfielder Paul Scholes (knee). Rooney is likely to start from the beginning after he was a substitute against Real. Chelsea and Benitez couldn’t face Manchester United at a worse time. United want to redeem them self for the Champions League exit and Chelsea chasing there form. Chelsea beat Middlesbrough (0:2) in the fifth round and Benitez is under pressure and needs victories.
