Founded in 1963, the Bundesliga is the top flight of German football and is currently held by Bayern Munich. Every year the Bundesliga is contested by eighteen teams with the top four teams qualifying for the UEFA Champions league and a relegation system in place. The Bundesliga is ranked the third best league in Europe by UEFA and boasts an average attendance of 45,000 fans per match, the highest of all leagues in all sports in the world. Bayern Munich are the most successful team in the Bundesliga having won twenty-two titles, including five in the last ten years, followed by Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach who both have five. Werder Bremen have four Bundesliga wins while SV Hamburger and VfB Stuttgart have both won three times. The past four years has seen Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund win two titles each and 2013/14 looks like it will be the same two teams battling for victory.
