Chelsea – Champions of Europe: FIFA World Club Cup

Winning the Champions League doesn’t end after the night you win it, it gives the players and fans a whole season to enjoy as Champions of Europe and that’s exactly what Chelsea will be doing come December when they compete to be crowned the best club in the world when they compete in the FIFA World Club Cup in Tokyo for the first time.

Chelsea FC had been waiting to be crowned Champions of Europe for a long time and now it’s finally happened it has given them the opportunity to appeal to world class players such as Eden Hazard who signed from French side LOSC Lille over the summer and had showed a desire to play for the team who were the Champions of Europe. As well as Hazard Chelsea made other signings such as Oscar from Brazilian side Internacional, Spaniard Cesar Azplicueta from Marseille, highly rated Victor Moses from Wigan and Marko Marin from German side Werder Bremen who is yet to feature this season through injury. Chelsea’s new boys will be thrilled to have the opportunity to play in the World Club Championships as well as looking to retain the European Championship in the 2012-13 season.

Having said this it hasn’t all been smiles for Chelsea whilst being Champions of Europe after their horrific defeat to an impressive Athletico Madrid team where they lost 4-1 in the Super Cup final in Monaco, where Athletico Madrid striker Falcao stole the show with a Hatrick and all goals coming from his so-called weaker left foot.

After a successful start to the season and sitting top of the Premier League Chelsea cal look forward to The FIFA World Club Cup which will take place between the 6th-16th of December where they will play two games in Tokyo against the likes of Brazilian champions Corinthian’s.

No shows booked at the moment.
