Champions League Final 2013 – Ticket Competitions

It is the football highlight of the year. It is the UEFA Champions League Final. On May 25th will meet the top European teams to fight for the football crown.

This year, it will be Bayern Munich against Borussia Dortmund and it will be the first time that two German teams meet in the Champions League Final.

For most fans, the only way to get tickets is to be lucky and either win one of the 9,000 tickets that UEFA provides in a ballot or to win one of the numerous ticket competitions. 27,000 tickets are kept by UEFA and given to the “UEFA family” which includes sponsors, FA’s and other associates.

Each team will receive 25,000 tickets each club and fans have to enter a ballot again. The BVB‘s and Bayern Munich’s ballot is until Sunday, May 5th. However, fans have to be members or belong to an official fan club. Only 5% of the tickets (1,200) will go to non-members and each person are only allowed to receive 2 tickets, which means only 600 non-members will attend the Champions League final.

What to do?

At the moment, there are only two options to get your hands on Champions League final tickets. One way is to try your luck and participate in one of the many competitions that are offered by Heineken, MasterCard, Sony, GazProm or Ford.

The other option is to go to the secondary market which required a lot of money. Secondary ticket providers such as Viagogo and Seatwave are reliable ticket provider. The second option is easy, relatively secure, but expensive.

No matter what option you choose, the Champions League Final surely shouldn’t be missed. If you enter one the ticket competition…Good Luck!
