Suarez admitted that he could leave Liverpool in the summer if an elite teams offers him a better opportunity in an interview. The 26 year old striker is chased by numerous European top teams such as Bayern Munich, Juventus Turin and also Paris St. Germain.
Suarez previously insisted that he would stay at Anfield beyond the season. However, the striker admitted he welcomes offers as Liverpool is unlikely to qualify for the Champions League and even Europa League. Liverpool is currently 6th in the table with 45 points just behind Everton with 48 points and a game in hand.
Suarez, who’s contract will expire in 2017, scored 29 goals in 38 matches and belongs to the top strikers in Europe. In an interview ahead of the World Cup Qualifier between Uruguay and Paraguay, he siad: “I am very happy at Liverpool, but you never know in football…A player’s ambition is always there, the ambition of wanting to play in elite teams is always there. I’m in a world-class team, an elite team like Liverpool…But if another team comes around with more prospects of competing in international club competition games, which is willing to have me, they are welcome. We would talk to the club, we would see if I want to go, if I don’t want to go.”
Suarez arrived at Anfield in January 2011 from Ajax Amsterdam for £22.8 million.
