11.12.2013. The final 2014 NFL international series match in the UK will see the Jacksonville Jaguars face the Dallas Cowboys on 9th November at Wembley Stadium. The Jacksonville Jaguars will be visiting the UK for the 2nd time in as many seasons as part of their deal to play four matches in four years at Wembley. The Cowboys on the other hand will travel to Wembley for the first time.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Since their establishment in 1995, the Jacksonville Jaguars have progressed to the play-offs on six occasions which included falling short of a Super Bowl appearance in 1996, when they were defeated by the New England Patriots, and 1999 when they lost to the Tennessee Titans. The Jaguars have not featured in the postseason since 2007 however, which was the last time they managed a winning regular season record. Although the Jaguars will not feature in the 2013 play-offs, under Head Coach Gus Bradley they have shown some improvement on their 2012 regular season record of only two wins. The Jaguars current roster includes Quarterback Blaine Gabbart, Running back Maurice Jones-Drew and Wide Receiver Justin Blackmon who could all play their part against the Cowboys in 2014.
Dallas Cowboys
NFL fans in the UK are delighted with the news that 5-time Super Bowl champions the Dallas Cowboys will be visiting Wembley Stadium in November 2014. The Cowboys are commonly known as ‘America’s team’ and have won the NFC East on 20 occasions most recently in 2009. Fans of the Dallas Cowboys will have to cast their minds back to 1995 and the days of legendary Quarterback Troy Aikman for the Cowboys last Super Bowl victory. Although not quite as good as the Cowboys of the 90’s, Jason Garrett’s current crop of players are extremely talented and are set to qualify for the Play-offs in 2013. With an offense that includes Quarterback Tony Romo, Wide Receiver duo Miles Austin and Dez Bryant and Tight End Jason Witten the Cowboys are certainly an exciting team to watch and could be a contender for Super Bowl championships in the near future.
